Vintage British valve amp 1961 Watkins Westminster 14w These 14W versions of the Watkins Westminster guitar amps are pretty rare. I’m not asking loads for it as one (or some) of the previous owners have “re-decorated” it. Some re-painting was on purpose. It used to be a beautiful sea green. Some of the paint was by accident as they were clearly decorating something else with white paint and most of the splatters and drips managed to hit this lovely little amp like iron filings to a magnet. Apart from its external visual appearance, this amp is a little vintage valve gem. A couple of the control knobs are missing the inserts but it all works. It has 4 x inputs. One of them works very well. The other 3 inputs work but the connections need a little cleaning as they crackle a bit. It has the original 10” ELAC British speaker. The original footswitch is included. If you’re looking for that old valve vintage sound and you’re not after a huge stage amp, you can’t go far wrong with this little beauty. It’s a 220V version, so if you’re looking to use it in the US, then you’ll need a step-down transformer. You’ll see prettier ones for these at £1500. I’m asking half of that so please don’t low-ball me. Thanks.
