Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Telecaster Custom '62 vintage reissue in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This "Made in Japan" Telecaster is a rare model, meant only for the Japanese domestic market, and features a gorgeous Ice Blue Metallic finish with aged white binding on the top and back of the instrument for a classic Fender look. Officially model TL62B, this guitar comes with a pair of stock Fender Japan Tele single coils, which have comparable output to genuine vintage pickups with plenty of sparkle and twang. The neck pickup is very smooth and round, while retaining a certain cut and focus in the low end, while the middle position has a balanced, full sound that's ideal for rhythm work. Of course the bridge position is easily identifiable for shimmer, snap, and grit, and the perfect pairing for an overdriven tube amp. The guitar weighs in at 8lbs 4oz and has a crisp, clear acoustic voice. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Tele is strung with 10-46 strings and has low, slinky action. The one-piece maple neck profile has a quintessential medium C shape at the nut, with a hair more depth and roundness in the shoulders of the profile as you move up the neck. The maple on the profile has a smooth gloss finish that feels great on the palm. The slab rosewood fretboard boasts Fender's traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius, with a 1 5/8" upgraded hand carved bone nut and vintage style fretwire that is virtually unplayed, with perfectly rounded fret crowns and consistent, low action up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well. All of the electronics work as they should, with an untouched wiring harness. The chrome hardware is very clean, and the "Pat. Pending" bridge plate features vintage spec grooved saddles. Cosmetically, this guitar has been extremely well cared for, with only one tiny nick on the back binding near the rear strap button and light pick wear in the pick path. The color is particularly rare, and the pale Ice Blue finish contrasts nicely with the cream binding and white three-ply pickguard. With Fender Japan no longer producing this model, this is a rare chance to get a guitar made only for the Japanese domestic market. Overall, this is a great Tele with a rare custom color finish and a professional setup from our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar.The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.***We are dealers for the Mastery Telecaster bridge and Lollar Telecaster pickups, either or both of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
