2001 Di Giorgio Autor N 3 Made in Brazil with hard shell case in very good condition. Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, solid Spruce top, Cedar neck with Ebony finger board. For those who may not know, Brazilian Rosewood is the most prized tone wood there is and it is rare to find a guitar built with it since it's been a protected species for quite some time. You'll know the guitar is made from Brazilian Rosewood without even looking at it just from the sweet fragrance from a couple of feet away. The guitar has just some fine scratches and slight finish checking on the back and sides. See photos for the best description of the guitar. The guitar plays and sounds great. The stand in the photos is not included. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. The guitar will be well packed and insured for the selling price. Information on Di Giorgio Guitars: Romeo Di Giorgio was an Italian immigrant to Brazil where in 1908, he opened his guitar shop. During that time he built guitars to Augustin Barrios Mangore(Paraguayan great composer and player) and a young Heitor Villa-Lobos(although,Villa-Lobos's companionship was a french made guitar which resides at the Villa-Lobos museum in Rio de Janeiro today). Later in the late 50's and during the 60's, under the command of Reinaldo Di Giorgio, the company equipped the bossa nova movement with the best guitars at that time. Baden Powell played a 1959 Di Giorgio Autor 3 for 15 years. Joao Gilberto and Tom Jobim also played the Autor 3. Later, Joao Gilberto made famous the model Tarrrega. The Brazilian music greats other than Powell, Jobim, and Gilberto who played a Di Giorgio Guitar could fill a full page: Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Nara Leao, Geraldo Vandre, and many others.
