Used First Generation Clark Amplification Belmont Reverb Head.
This amplifier was brought to us by a great local Jazz guitarist named Jerry Hahn (of the Jerry Hahn Brotherhood) for trade. It seems it was just getting a bit too heavy for him. The amp has a lovely backstory and we'd like to include the original listing from the amp's original owner, an amazing guitarist, Mr. Anthony Wilson (Diana Krall, Aaron Neville, Willie Nelson, Gladys Knight, Kenny Burrell, and many more). Everything about his listing is still accurate other than the addition of the two carrying straps to the top and the switching of the power tubes to EL34s. Check it out!
"This beautiful to look at--and beautiful to hear--amp head is #2 of two "Belmont" model amps that were built for me in 2004 by Michael Clark of Clark Amplification in South Carolina.  Michael is certainly one of the finest and most respected of the talented and competitive crop of current-day American builders of classic Fender-style amplifier circuits.  His attention to detail is incredible.
You can find more information about Clark Amplification at his website here: This custom Belmont head is a true-to-type Fender mid-1960's blackface-style amp head (basically a 50W Twin Reverb circuit), clean and super warm, very dynamically responsive, with chimey highs, solid mids, and generous lows. The tubes are:  5AR4 rectifier, two 6L6wgb power, two 12at7, two12ax7, & one 12ay7 The amp has spring reverb, vibrato, and a "bright" switch, all on the front panel. This amp is not a channel-switcher. Just one channel, and it rocks. The amp was 100% hand-wired by Michael Clark, and he also built the cabinet and applied the black tolex & grill-cloth himself. As you can see, the faceplate was hand-lettered by Michael, and #2 is written on it.  This is certainly one of the most unique amps ever to come out of Michael’s shop.  He confirmed on the phone on January 7 that this and its match are the only two amps exactly like this that he ever made.   I used this Belmont head, along with its identical match (#1), as part of a stereo rig during Diana Krall's 2004-2006 world tour.  You can hear it on her DVD "Live in Montreal."  I have played it on many studio sessions since that tour, but it has not gone on the road since then and is in immaculate condition.   I begin my guitar solo at 2:44. As far as parts are concerned:
--Allen Bradley carbon composition resistors --Jupiter Red Astron tinfoil and mylar coupling capacitors. These are USA made and Michael Clark feels that they really get the sound and tone of the original Astrons. --Sprague and F&T electrolytics. --Solid 22g cloth covered wire as per the original. --Superb wiring and layout. --Includes dual footswitch for Reverb and Vibrato I hate to give it up, but I am swimming in gear here and need to "thin the herd" a bit.  I am confident that anyone who buys this amp will be very happy indeed.  It has been my honor to play it.  Though I'm selling #2, I'm keeping #1, and will be using it proudly and often."This is a spectacular amp and an heirloom quality piece of musical equipment. Whomever ends up with this will be a very lucky individual. Thanks for looking!
