For sale: Vintage 1983 Gibson Les Paul 'Standard' in Wine Red. Serial # 81243564, made in USA. Born May 4th, 1983 in Nashville Tennessee.
Guitar shows plenty of usage (particularly on the back) with various scratches, dings, etc throughout (See photos) This guitar has been repaired for a headstock crack; as is sometimes common on these older Les Pauls. The repair is VERY solid, and you can't feel the crack/repair. It affects the playability in NO way. The guitar keeps tune great, has awesome sustain and sounds incredible. Because of aforementioned repair, the neck has been stripped down to bare wood, and given a healthy oil finish. The neck feels great! Very smooth.Original chrome bridge, Gibson tuners, and original Tim Shaw made pickups, unmolested wiring, appears to have not been tampered with during it's life.Photos taken with & without pickguard to show wear. Pickguard has a crack in it.This guitar is obviously vintage, and shows it's use from the years. It still looks, plays and sounds amazing, and really exudes some old Gibson Mojo!
