Up for auction is a super nice 1957 Bassman 5F6 A. The amp has been professionally recovered in a very nice amber tint. It appears that most of the caps on the circuit board are original as are the transformers. The speakers are original Jensen P10R's dated 220728. Two of the four have been reconed. All wood is original and the cab is very sturdy. The amp plays and sounds killer. It takes pedals well. if you want a great vintage Bassman that has all the original voicing, but not the 10-12K price, this is the one.Please ask all questions before the auction closes as I'm happy to answer them. On Jun-23-16 at 10:25:49 PDT, seller added the following information:Just a quick note re. the power transformer....When I received the amp it had an old school solid state rectifier, the type using resistors wired together on top of the rectifier tube socket. Unfortunately the transformers wires were cut short instead of just unsoldering them, so I had to ad a bit of wire to connect them back onto the rectifier tube socket. Not pretty, but very functional....AT
