Here is a beautiful Vega Artist from the mid 1920 's. Almost every part is original including the Oettinger tailpiece, grover patent tuners w pearl buttons, all hardware and screws are believed original. The fret inlay still shows etching and engraving on the pearl inlays. There are no known overspray areas or replated gold metal. It is a wonderful example of old time craftsmanship with a helping of bling added to dazzle the listeners and uplift the player. All markings are legible and clear and finish and colorings are very good. Some of the gold plating has worn as expected. The only items of blemish are a filled hole , possible a strap peg, on the bass side of the neck. Size of pea. Also the bottom of the fretboard edges chipped and a small hole/ chip on fretboard, smaller than bb. On trebl bottom 19 th fret of board 1" piece of binding gone. Some light scratches and marks. The neck has a slight set to it, Attempted to photograph. The faux gator case is not original but old. Overall a valuable piece of stringed history with values rising. Make offer. Good luck!
