Offered with Gotoh Gold tuners and a bone nut and saddle, the PS can be ordered in any Taylor body shape with either a Venetian or Florentine cutaway.Shape - Grand SymphonyWith a slightly larger footprint than the Grand Auditorium, the GS yields a slightly more potent and dynamic all-around sound. Players can expect deeper bass, thicker trebles, and increased volume and low-end sustain, all without disrupting the tonal balance and clarity of the guitar.Top Wood - Sitka SpruceThe most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.Body Wood - CocoboloA dense, stiff tropical hardwood from Mexico, cocobolo produces a fairly bright overall tone emphasized by sparkling treble notes. Sonically it resembles koa but resonates a little deeper on the low end. The tone is fast, responsive, and articulate.Electronics - Expression System 2Taylor’s breakthrough acoustic pickup marks a major advance in piezo technology thanks to a patented behind-the-saddle design. The unique placement of three piezo sensors captures a more dynamic range of acoustic sound and responds well in a variety of settings.Cutaway - VenetianStandard on “ce” models in the 300 Series and up, the Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the guitar. The Grand Concert, Grand Auditorium, and Grand Symphony have a steeper slope, while the Dreadnought is a bit flatter. Our Grand Concert nylon-string models also feature a subtle, flatter slope, while our 100 and 200 Series cutaway models incorporate our flattest slope.SPECIFICATIONSShape: Grand SymphonyNumber of Strings: 6Back/Side Wood: CocoboloScale Length: 25-1/2"Top Wood: Sitka SpruceBody Length: 20"Electronics: Expression System 2Body Width: 16-1/4"Cutaway: VenetianBody Depth: 4-5/8"Nut and Saddle: BoneNeck Width: 1-3/4"Neck/Heel: Tropical MahoganyBracing: CV Bracing with Relief RoutFretboard Wood: EbonyFretboard Inlay: NouveauHeadstock Overlay: EbonyBinding: EbonyBridge Inlay: NouveauBridge Pins: Ebony with Abalone DotsTuners: GotohTruss Rod Cover: EbonyBack/Side Finish: GlossTop Finish: GlossNeck Finish: SatinPickguard: NoneNumber of Frets: 20
