The Larrivee D-40 Mahogany features a revolutionary new bracing pattern that has been critically acclaimed by all who have reviewed it. Seriously, this guitar will embarrass acoustics from some of the worlds top manufacturers costing several times as much. You just have to try it. This new model has been born from years of research and testing. This is Jean Larrivee's first new bracing pattern in over 46 years. The new "Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid" bracing system perfectly merges the strength, tonal balance, and clarity of Larrivee bracing, with the Bass response, depth, and volume you'd expect from a vintage dreadnought acoustic guitar. Acoustic magazine gave the Larrivee D-40 Mahogany a full marks glowing review. The Larrivee D-40 Rosewood Legacy Series uses a beautiful piece of Sitka Spruce for the top paired with solid Rosewood for the back and sides. This instrument comes to life with the first strum. Plenty of deep bass, articulate highs and a well balanced tone throughout. The single piece Mahogany neck is slim and comfortable and has been fitted with a solid African Ebony Fretboard. African Ebony is also used for the bridge where you'll find a bone saddle and bone bridge pins with Abalone inlays. A perfectly CNC'd bone nut works in conjunction with the bridge to help this guitar really sing. The Larrivee D-40 Mahogany Legacy Series comes beautifully presented in a deluxe hard shell case. A worthy investment and a guitar to cherish for years to come.
