If you thought it was impossible to find a NEW VF160EX,
then you thought wrong...This machine is new...
I purchased it at a local music store that went out of business...
It was a display model...
I purchased it to re-sell...
I have sat on it for a few years, waiting for the right time to sell it...
It's almost impossible to find a new one, and if you do, you could possibly pay up to
$1,200 for it....They listed for $1,799 back in the day...
You can have this cherry for only $699...(There is no factory warranty for this recorder, cuz Fostex doesn't make this recorder anymore)...
I did power it up just long enough to make sure everything works...

This recorder also makes one heck of a live on-stage mixer (with scene save)...
Mic everything and record the band's performance anytime
just by pressing the record button...
Then mix it later...
Sell your cd's at your gigs...
THIS RECORDER HAS A HUGE 40 GB HARD DRIVE...
(About 8 hours of recording time for 16 tracks)...
It has an on-board DVD-ROM/CD-RW COMBO DRIVE...
It's so much better than the new Fostex 16 track recorder
which has only 12 real tracks (8 mono and 4 stereo) and only lets you record up to 4 tracks at once...This machine has 16 channel faders and 1 master fader...
The Fostex VF recorders are the only (all in one) digital recorders ever made that will
let you record up to 16 tracks at once...
Most recorders on the market today will only let you record up to 4 tracks at once...
Mix 16 tracks down to 2 tracks (stereo) via "internal mix down", then record 14 more tracks...
Then keep repeating this process for an endless amount of tracks (with no loss of quality)...
Then mix and burn straight to CD...
And also, you can transfer wav files to PC and mix the song with your
favorite recording sof
