Currency of this and all my sales is GBP £ Sterling you cannot purchase in any other currency!!!!Be sure to check out my new website - atoyboyguitars for more details and more pics of this great item!OK, so you got me… this amp is obviously not worth £5,000 and I am sick of the sight of it! I have had it too long so instead of trying to get any kind of serious money for it, I am putting it out there for the world to decide what it is worth and it will get sold on Sunday 26th May to the highest bidder whatever that price may be - even if it is only a fiver (£5 or approx $7 at todays rate)In addition to that, if you are buying from outside the UK then by the time this auction ends (Sunday 26th May) we may have Brexited from the EU and the Pound may well fall by up to a third according to some predictions, so check back towards the end of the auction as you may find it even cheaper than you thought….This is not all original but is without a doubt a stunning sounding and pretty rare, original Marshall plexi amp. It is a NICE condition circa 1966 Marshall JTM-50 'Black Flag' model plexi panel amp it is a superb sounding guitar amp and has the classic GZ-34 tube rectifier circuit making this a rarer, early version of the JTM-50.The only major change is the output transformer has been replaced some time ago, I have been informed the OP transformer should be a Drake 784-128 vs the 784-139 that is in there. This particular Drake works very well indeed and likely to be from a head a few years later. AC transformer is still original and it can happily run at all AC voltages including 115V for USA usage. It has been a working and gigging amp most of it’s life so other components may have been replaced to keep it running. There was a different AC inlet on it at some time but a correct 3 pin Bulgin is back on there now. Logo is an excellent quality repro and one of the output jacks has been replaced with an XLR and someone said the knobs are not original either. The new OP transformer has a 4 ohm tap where the original 100v line would have been making it a useful change.I am NOT a Marshall expert, in fact I hate the things… so take a look and decide for yourself what you think about it and how much it is worth but please do not email me your opinion. It is what it is and I am sure someone will grab a bargain here. My loss, but I am fed up trying to sell and describe vintage Marshall, I’ll leave that to the armchair experts out there that populate the various forums. It has been recently serviced, biased and set up by an independent tech and is ready to rock. It sounds just as it should and if you are seeking the classic, tube rectifier plexi Marshall sound of the mid 60’s you can look no further...Covering, panel and lettering are in great shape and are all original. Plexi is also original and in great shape too. Rear panel shows a couple of band names on the back but this only goes to add a bit of charecter to what is a great amp and with the right treatment I am sure they can be removed and the cabinet restored to all it’s former glory. Maybe one of these bands was famous….?!Please have a good look at the 20+ high resolution photos I have posted to fully appreciate the cool condition this amp is inI will post for the rates in the 'P&P and Payments' section, or you are more than welcome to collect from Cheltenham. Please note that some areas of Europe are more expensive (e.g. Greece) so treat the rates as a guide. Postal rates DO NOT INCLUDE INSURANCE which will be added at checkout and is typically 1.75% of items value. Customers are responsible for any taxes or duties in their own country.
