*PLEASE NOTE*THE POWER CORD ON THIS AMP WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED BEFORE IT CAN BE TESTED OR USED !!!IT WILL AT MINIMUM REQUIRE THAT SPECIFIC REPAIR, SO DUE TO THAT FACTTHIS AMPLIFIER IS BEING SOLD AS SHOWN, AS DESCRIBED, AND AS IS WITH NO RETURNS. This is a very rare Vintage Magnatone model 190 Professional Tube Amplifier from about 1957. It was acquired from the estate of a well known 70 year member of the Ferko Philadelphia String Band. The power cord is brittle and deteriorated from age as shown in the photos, so the Amp has not been plugged in or tested. The Amp is in decent cosmetic condition for its age, there is a small hole in the grille cloth and average areas of wear on the Tolex. It appears to have been professionally serviced over the years as evidenced by the Amp Service sticker on the Chassis. The Filter Caps look to have been replaced and the Carry Handel is an older non-original replacement. The Vacuum Tubes all look newer, they are not original but they are vintage. All the tubes are vintage RCA except one pre-amp tube which is a vintage Raytheon. The Jensen Speakers as well as the Knobs and Switches appear to be original, they are intact, clean and rotate smoothly. There are two hooks that were added to the inside of the cabinet to wrap the power cord on. Included is the original hard to find Schematic Sheet and Canvas Dust Cover which is very worn but still serviceable. Knowledgable collectors will appreciate the rarity and value of this cool old amp. Thanks for looking !Below is a link to additional info on this amplifier:
