Special Edition Walnut SG700. 1978
Manufactured between 1976 and 1979 the SG700 was eventually replaced by the SG800. A mahogany body was capped with an unbound maple top. The one piece mahogany set neck had a rosewood fingerboard with split pearl inlays. Coil taps increased the tonal range the standard SG bridge was finished in chrome as was the rest of the hardware and the encased black pickups were mounted in black plastic surrounds.
