Vintage Guild F50-RNT Deluxe Jumbo 1978 Rosewood Acoustic 6 String Guitar
Estimated price for orientation: 1 399 $
Category: Acoustic Electric Guitars
Class:
Description
This vintage 1978 Guild f50-R Rosewood Deluxe Jumbo six string is in excellent playing condition. The action is amazingly low, without any buzzing - even hitting the strings hard. The frets are fat and wide, similar to electric guitars of that time, and set in high quality ebony. The tone is bright, but the bass end retains a very strong full resonance. The harmonics are so strong, the guitar sounds almost like a 12 string. The f50 was Guild's top-of-the-line jumbo and an answer to the Gibson j200 series. The standard model featured carved maple back and sides and solid spruce top. The rosewood is the ultra deluxe version, meant to be Guild's highest quality jumbo, featuring all of the deluxe appointments of a flagship instrument, including a double-bound fretboard and headstock, mother of pearl and gold hardware. The rosewood is a beautiful example of the type of rosewood used at the time. It's a very special instrument. Cosmetically, this guitar has a small assortment of minor dings, and an area on the lower bout side that shows some finish wear, but overall has not got an excessive amount of player wear. Most likely it was given very light amateur use, and well taken care of. The original (pictured) "guild" logo and hardshell case (missing one buckle) are included.
