I have here the final 5 string electric mandolin, just completed in my small workshop in Northamptonshire. This is the very last one of a batch of 6. All have been received very well. This one, as the last one is a little different, having gold plated hardware and a custom scaled P90 neck pu, to give a more mellow 'jazzier' tone. The body is very resonant swamp ash, the neck rock maple with Indian rosewood board. Truss rod incorporated, adjusted from the neck pocket end. Every one of these made rings like a bell, which is comforting having put a lot of effort into it, but maybe thats how tele's are even when scaled down. All the parts on it except the Gotoh vintage slot post machine heads are bespoke, handmade and incorporate custom made scaled down versions of the hardware associated with a full size vintage modified telecaster.
