This is new and only used once. I took it out of the box to put it in a rack and a week later got a Sebatron unit which replaced this. It was turned on, used once and taken out of the rack. The Aphex 1788A 8-channel Preamp is a 2U rackspace pre for stage or studio. The idea behind the 1788A is that even with balanced cable runs, mics sound better when the signal doesn't have to travel great distances to get where it's going.
