Description

High Quality brand name with a rare model.
Ive had this for several years and it's just under mint condition because the tail piece put a couple small marks in the finish during a string change. I thought about fixing it, but I don't want to mess it up, and decided to take it off the price. Easy touch up with the right varnish, or rather inexpensive with the right Luthier. Most violin and cello places offer minor fixes like that. Other that that, It's been kept in its case. I never got the hang of it. I play guitar and the motion of the bow eventually turns into me picking the string instead. I wouldn't mind keeping it around for my kid, but he's a small kid, going to be short like me, and despite me getting him a decent youth sized beginner guitar, he only seems interested in the drums. I also downsized in living space when I moved him to a good school district a few years ago, and this thing is huge.
So.
You get the whole set up. The hard case with a fabric exterior and the Royal Blue super soft interior lining- it has 2 spots for a bow and a compartment on the inside with 2 pockets on the outside, with lots of straps and handles for transporting; mint condition wood Bausch bow; and whats left of the care kit and rosin. True Ebony tailpiece, fingerboard, and tuning pegs. This is a SOLID hard wood carved body cello, NOT a LAMINATED plywood body. I'm not certain on the species of wood used. There is a HUGE difference in sound, quality, and value between solid and laminated. When you play a solid wood you get a beautiful tone, and with a laminated plywood body you get more of a thud with terrible tones. Wood Bow with a stamp that says BAUSCH. perfectly strait, looks a little aged while in mint condition. Ebony frog.
Strings and Bow Hair are still in excellent playing condition. This cello was made in the U.S. about years ago before the maker merged with another company to become Conn-Selmer. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
