This is my Cabart english horn that I have had for seven years. To the best of my ability, I've been able to date it to 1969-1971 per the records of the high school that I bought it from. It is in fine working order. There are no cracks or repairs. The tenons have been recently recorked and it has been serviced about 7 months ago. I bought this english horn used from a high school auction many years ago, had it repaired, and it has served me quite well. As buyer, you will want to have it looked at and replace any pads that you might feel need replacing, but it currently plays just beautifully out of the case. The english horn comes in its original case. It still protects quite well, opens and closes just fine with no issues, but does need replacing. All parts are original, as well as keywork and mechanism. Made of grenadilla, this english horn has a full conservatory key system, silver plated key work, left hand F, C-C# trill key (banana key).
This will come with the original Cabart bocal. I recommend perhaps buying a newer one for best tone and pitch. This instrument was once the property of a high school for the vast majority of its life, and as such has been handled by kids, so please expect a cosmetic blemish here or there. That said, there is absolutely nothing unsightly about this instrument. If you have further questions or require more photos, please message me and I will be happy to oblige. I will ship immediately at the end of sale.
