Kanun is brand new. It was made by famous luthiers from Turkey; Saadettin SANDI and his son Bahadir SANDI. They are very well known in Turkey and many other countries about luthiery. Their company name is CANKAYA MUSIC. You can check their website. Kanun has 26 sounds and totally 78 strings. Strings are Dupont. Dimensions; Lower side while playing is 98 cm. High side while playing is 35cm . Perpendicular side while playing is 42cm Pegs side is 80 cm. Thickness is 4,5cm This kanun is especially being produced for European and American music types. Sound system is same with piano. But it is 3.5 octaves.  You can play any kind of songs with this instrument. Normally kanun is a Turkish and Arabic instrument and it is being used to play Turkish Classical Music. But we wanted to make it possible to use with American and European music types. You can adjust minor and major sounds and play more simple than a piano. Kanun is our professional model and being played by many professionals in Turkey. Its soundboard is first quality Chinar. Pegs are Ebony. Metal bridges are made from a special metal called Alpaca. Whole instrument was made by hand including inlays. Sound tone is perfect.
