Fine pernambuco violin bow made after Dominique Peccatte, silver mounted.Fine violin bow made after the french maker Dominique Peccatte (1810–1874). Dominique Peccatte (1871-1946) was an influencial french bow maker from Mirecourt, who worked for Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume between 1826 and 1837. He is notable for adapting the hatchet-shaped head. The Peccatte bows is one of the better ideals of the compromise between tone production and handling. This fine copy has been made following precisely the style of the bow invented by Peccatte, with its exquisite hatched-shaped head. The bow is entirely silver-mounted, and the carving is masterly made. This rare and beautiful Peccatte bow copy is suitable for experimented players and concertists. Weight : 58 to 62 grams.
