                     Don & Ida Coleman, bluegrass players who were well known in the Midwest were the original owners of this beautiful instrument.  Current owner has had this mandolin since the 1960’s and it was previously owned by his mother who purchased the mandolin from Don Coleman.  They appeared together on a local radio show in the late 40’s in Terre Haute IN.   It was the Harry Wegar show which was a musical variety show.   The mandolin has had 3 owners and Don Coleman’s name is on the case.  Aunt Jane was the current owner’s mother and that was her stage name while she performed.  The Coleman’s and Aunt Jane played together for many years all around the Midwest area. Early 1930’s Gibson Mandolin.  Custom order A style Mandolin rare elevated fingerboard which you can see in the photos.  No structural repairs has a DeArmond pickups added in the 1950’s.  All original!  Pick guard is not with the mandolin but the pick guard mount is.  Case is not in the best condition however it is original Gibson case.  Comes with the cord for the DeArmond pickup and extra mandolin strings.  Original strap (it has always had this as long as the owner can remember)         Please if you have a question ask!!!  Shipping is via UPS  or USPS with INSURANCE & TRACKING!   FREE SHIPPING ONLY APPLIES TO UNITED STATES.  (surcharge will be applied to AK, HI and PR this is not my charge but a UPS charge)   INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS.....if you are interested (serious inquiries only) I will quote you a shipping charge again via UPS.
