This is a set of two wonderful microphones that I mostly used to record my Steinway grand piano in jazz/pop song settings. They also worked great as a stereo guitar mic, drum room mics etc. When there was not enough U87s on singer groups they worked very comparable. I hear that it works great for acoustic bass also. These are also known as a live engineer's dream piano mic system. They are not matched pair, and one has (A) suffix at the end of the model#. There is a slight variations on the thickness of the capsule grill (pictured). The stereo sound I get from them was always beautiful to my ear so the revision difference did not matter. Audix states that the only revision done was (besides the grill) for the ease of serviceability. They come in Sennheiser's slick/portable/slimmer than Audix OEM case. Inside the case, it has : Wooden box, (2) Audix special clamps, and a stereo bar with a gooseneck mic attachment. Thank you for looking, and good luck! Please check my other items as well.
