Description

The Buescher - vintage 1926Satin-Gold plate#1 neckSerial #:  217652I have played on this horn for almost seventeen years (including 3 years of undergrad as a Music Performance major).I am a professional repair-technician and have spent a considerable amount of time putting this horn into about the best playing condition it can be in.I have removed the snap-in's and replaced them with flat sterling silver (Reso-Tech) resonators. The body is straight and the toneholes are level. It has stainless-steel springs and Kraus 115 pads. The fork-Eb is activated and works quite well (a touch stuffy in the lower register, but still manageable).I used a knife-handle blank to make wooden risers for the right-hand side-keys and the palm D.It's harmonics are well balanced (overtones and altissimo come quite easily), and it has a full deep tone-color throughout all registers. It comes in a Protech case with my old Rascher mouthpiece (I'll admit that the facing on the mouthpiece isn't the best) and Rovner ligature. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.Buyer pays packing/shipping (and any duty/taxes associated with international shipping).Local pickup welcome.  Also, if you are in the Seattle area and you'd like to try it out, there are practice studios at my shop and you are welcome to come by for a play-test.
