This is a 1930's Otto Link Slant Signature Eburnated Bar tenor sax mouthpiece. These were the very first rubber mouthpieces made by otto link and are made of a very high quality rubber.  This one was originally a 3* and was expertly opened up to a .105 (7*) facing by Eric Falcon. It measures right on that on my tip gauge.  Its really in fantastic shape, most of the original lettering is intact and the rubber has barely any discolouration on it; this piece looks close to new.  Its got a few light scratches, but no serious wear at all and the facing looks excellent. There appears to have been a small nick in the left rail that was repaired, the repair looks good. You can see this in the pictures. Always played with a tooth patch, i can't see any wear underneath.  This mouthpiece a really fantastic player, i would without a doubt classify this as a dark sounding piece, but it can be pushed for a brighter 'pop' when needed.  It comes with the original box, which is hard to find accompanying a piece this old, but its in good shape, has some wear and one small tear but its in really good shape for its age. HAPPY BIDDING!
