A rare, superb French viola bow made by Charles Claude Husson ca. 1880 in Paris, certified by Bernard Millant.
Charles Claude Husson was excellent bow maker who worked for J.B. Vuillaume and F. N. Voirin. This is excellent example suitable for a soloist.
The stick is dark brown pernambuco of exceptional choice and beautiful figuration, round, strong with perfect flexibility, excellent balance/handling and a solo level, magnificent sound. The frog and button are ebony with silver mountings. It is ready to play with a new hair. The length of the stick is 72 cm and the weight of the bow is 69 g.
