A Beautiful Jerry Read Smith Hammered Dulcimer. Jerry's craftsmanship is superb! They are known to be beautiful, but more important sound beautiful from the top to the bottom notes. They are very well balanced in terms of tone. Many dulcimers have an area that does not sound good, particularly at the top, however, Jerry's dulcimers are beautiful at the top. The bottom notes are deep and sound good as well. You can find many musicians playing Jerry's dulcimers on youtube.com. The bass bridge sounds well balanced with the treble bridge.Professional musicians play them, such as Ruth Smith, Josh Messick and others. If you want the top of the line in hammered dulcimer this is it! This one has the smaller bass bridges on both sides of the dulcimer which other makers are just beginning to do. You can reach wherever you are playing and catch a harmony low bass note. I have the Certificate of Origin and Authenticity with all the specifics below and more.
