I AM THE THIRD GENERATION TO OWN IT, I KNOWS IT SHOULD BE PLAYED. I DON'T KEEP TENSION ON THE STRING,COMES WITH 4 NEW STRINGS FROM V.C. Squires Co. Battle Creek Mi. E. 1st #300 Swedish steel, A-2nd Swedish steel, D-3rd bronze wound super polished and G-4th bronze also
