Up for sale is a pristine Stomvi S3 in gold plate. This has to be one of the best current lead horns for the money. I have owned a V Raptor and a VRII both in gold plate. This S3 far surpasses the V Raptor and can hold it's own to the VRII. Horn slots like crazy and is spot on from bottom to top. Horn records very well in the studio as well. What I notice the most about the Stomvi S3 is it's projection through the band. I have noticed that the bone players in front of this horn tend to try and move further away from the trumpet section. Having said that, with a standard 3C mouthpiece, you can play any orchestral type work on this horn and fit right into the section. If you go to a shallower lead piece, watch out because this horn will easily handle everything you throw it's way. Every note on this horn just jumps out and intonation is spot on.Horn will be package very securely and ship fully insured. There are a few of these horns in silver plate for sale on line and all of them are around $2,495 & $2,595 in silver plate. Gold plate usually adds about $800-$1,000. I have a buy it now but will entertain offers.Here is what Stomvi says about this horn.The S3 was designed to offer an extremely easy to play, in tune and affordable instrument. We started with our very successful Stomvi USA trumpet and fine-tuned the air column. We designed a new leadpipe and improved the response through upgraded hardware. Then we added a BellFlex S3 Bell which has produced a truly amazing instrument with a wonderful sound full of harmonics, great slotting, and an easy upper register. The increased resonance of our Bellflex alloy makes the S3 extremely easy to play with advanced slots and a sound full of colors. All S3 trumpets are assembled one at a time by expert craftsmen to assure the highest quality and consistency.
