Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This classic Blackface Fender amp has been well maintained and is original in all the ways that count, with stock transformers, a nearly untouched circuit, fresh Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes, and a partial recap of the main filters and bypass caps where necessary. The perfect middle ground between the Vibrolux and the Twin, the Pro Reverb has an ideal amount of clean Fender headroom before cascading into smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive at around 5 on the volume dial. This amp has the sparkle, clarity, and extremely pedal friendly clean tone that has made Blackface Fenders a mainstay on stages and in studios worldwide, and the Reverb and Tremolo are extremely lush. The original tube chart is partially intact, noting the early #2 production run, given that this amp was the last Blackface amp model to be introduced in early '65.  The original output and power transformers date to the 13th and 42nd weeks of 1965 respectively, and the reverb transformer and choke are original as well. The amp retains all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors which are a hallmark of the Blackface tone, and the only new components in the preamp are fresh grid resistors and Sprague bypass caps. The amp retains a few of the original main filter caps, as well as a couple replacements to keep everything operating within original factory spec. All of the original cloth wiring is intact with mostly original solder joints and a complete set of stock CTS pots. The speakers are a pair of recently reconed era correct Fender labeled Utah speakers which date to early '67. These speakers deliver a very similar tonal character to Oxfords, with smooth top end, full midrange, and a breakup that sounds natural and rich at high volumes. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is intact and in great shape, showing only light wear and still looking surprisingly clean after nearly 50 years. The cloth has aged moderately over the decades, and the only notable mark of wear is a small tear central to the baffle.  The stock hardware is in great shape as well including original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners and handle. This classic Blackface Fender amp has been recently serviced and is ready for stage and studio use!
