This is as clean a Tascam 234 as you will find. It was restored to factory specs by Adrian Pro Audio in Canoga Park. Adrian has been restoring tape machines for over 40 years and was an employee of Tascam at one time. I paid $315 for this machine as-is and then paid $255 for a professional restoration. You really get what you pay for with tape machines and this one won't disappoint. It is biased for NAC Studio Master Cassette Tapes, which are still being manufactured new. I believe NAC uses the machines that were used to make TDK SA-X 60 Tapes back in the day, which would also work with this machine.
