We are
authorized LD Systems dealers. LD Systems is a German based company that makes
superb equipment. They are relative newcomers to the States but will soon be
making a lot of heads turn. This system is really quite nice. It is a smaller system ideally suited
for those small guitar / singer gigs. It has plenty of bass capacity and
crystal clear highs. I love the portability of this unit. It comes in two systems.
The subwoofer is the guts of the system and houses an 8”woofer and a small
mixer and runs the column that sits in the top. The column is comprised of 3
parts. Two parts are basically spacers and the third is the speaker assembly.
You can plug the speaker directly into the sub or use one spacer or both
depending on what height you want the speakers at. These all snap together
requiring no cables. The part that I still don't understand is that I set this
unit up behind me and use is as my mains and my monitor and don't get any
feedback. It is wonderful being able to hear the true house signal and not
having a feedback issue.This auction includes the carrying bags to make this
system portable and safe. The bags are made of durable nylon and make transport
a breeze. High-performance complete systems consisting
of subwoofers and satellite speakers or column speakers from LD Systems offer solutions for a gamut of
applications from home recording to mobile use and permanent
installation. The portable column PAs of
the MAUI Series by LD Systems represent
another variant that is equally suitable for musicians and DJs. Thanks to the
linear configuration of the speakers , these unobtrusive mini line arrays have the advantage of very even sound distribution,
which ensures a highly uniform listening experience everywhere in the room. The ultra compact MAUI 5 weighs in at about 11 kg while delivering 800
watts of peak power and a maximum SPL of 120 dB. Providing both sound
reinforcement with extended coverage and feedback resistant monitoring the
subwoofer base and 3-piece column system assembles in seconds with custom
multipin connectors. The junior member of the MAUI
family is most easily portable and fits onto any car seat.The vented 8" subwoofer
also houses the system's Class D amplification with overcurrent, short circuit
and thermal protection, LD Systems' proprietary LECC digital processing and a
4-channel mixer. Featuring Bluetooth technology for wireless streaming and
microphone, line level and hi-Z inputs which can be used simultaneously the MAUI 5 lets you connect a wide variety of sources
including music players and instruments such as keyboards or guitars.
Individual level controls, subwoofer and master volumes plus high shelf
