We are pleased to offer for auction this excellent vintage clarinet! It is a Buffet Crampon R13 in the key of A. A complete overhaul was finished just a couple of days ago, including all new pads, corks, oiling, polishing, adjusting and play testing. The only damage to the clarinet is a crack in the bell which was repaired at that time. The tech says it's probably good for life and just cosmetic. (I'd just live with it until another R13 or ICON bell to show up on eBay, or even an Evette.) No other cracks, chips or repairs, no significant plating wear. The clarinet comes in what I assume is the original double case. S/n 89XXX makes it a mid-1960's horn, the Golden Era and most desirable of all Buffets. An amazing instrument, and the perfect gift for your student headed off to college! MSRP $6,804, sale price at WWBW is $4,081, so save around two grand and don't miss this vintage one!
