This listing is for an Original 1954 Fender Precision Bass Guitar Body. This body was made by Fender in the USA in 1954. The neck that originally came with this body was pencil stamped T.G. 12-54. The body has been stripped of it's original finish and there is evidence this body was refinished a few times in a few different colors. The body is made of Ash as your would expect for a 1950's Fender and weighs 4 LBS & 8.2 ounces. The pickup cavity on this body has been enlarged slightly and the enlargement was Not professionally done. The bass body comes as pictured with no additional parts. The strap buttons on the bass are not original 1950's strap buttons. There was one added strap button hole in the back of the body. The neck pocket, control cavity and bridge area have not been modified or enlarged. Please look at the pictures and email with questions. Original Fender P-Bass Bodies from the 1950's do not come up for sale often and this one is a nice one for a professional restoration or to use as it is. I will be listing the neck what original parts that were still on the bass when I got it separately so please check my other listings if you are looking for 1950's P-bass parts.
