Technics have kept in all the upgrades that featured on the SL-1210 MK3 decks including the pitch reset button (so the pitch faded doesn't click into place at the zero spot), and added in a few extra nice ones that keeps them top of the pile when it comes to professional DJ turntables. The body of the turntable now has its underside made from hard rubber providing excellent sound isolation. Theres also a brake control feature which allows you adjust how long it takes to stop a tune with the break button..pretty cool for DJs who like to throw a few different effects into their set...beats just switching the turntable off, at any rate. In the advanced version the SL-1210 MK5 turntable, Technics have added a feature that brings them up to speed (literally) with other DJ turntable manufacturers such as Vestax, who have been incorporating wider pitch ranges into their turntables. The MK5s will let go from +/-8 to +/-16 at the flick off a switch, giving the DJ greater versatility in the range of tunes he can play.
