I personally made all upgrades to make this the center of my music production environment, adding all possible modernizations and upgrades to most state of the art MPC 3000 as possible. All encoders and buttons were cleaned and checked to be 100% functional. I replaced the main selector encoder, added new pad sensors and new pads, all from MPC Stuff.com. Installed a new CF RaizinMonster Compact flash reader. I also replaced the LCD screen with a new LED screen from Kanamit, which is so bright and readable, much better then any stock screen with a backlight. I also repaired all the audio connectors which solder traces had become loose from years of plugging and unplugging cables into the jacks. (I would say that this is normal wear and tear for a unit of this age). Also thanks to the info provided by Kanamit, I lowered the noise floor of the MPC by creating an additional ground from the Audio I/O circuits and Card Reader circuit, which has been pointed out as an issue that MPCs have with card readers installed. The floppy drive acted as a grounding plain, that is disrupted when the CF reader is installed. Also the unit is upgraded with proper memory to its max 32 MB. Bad memory will read in the start up screen but will corrupt samples, this is 100% good memory. Although some of the silk screening is worn on the unit but the electronics and functionality are 100%. Over $500 of upgrades on this amazing machine!
