INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME!!! As you can see by googling ALUMPSTER’S GUITARS, I generally sell only Martin, Gibson, Guild, Taylor, Larrivee, and Alvarez-Yairi guitars because most of these models are made so well that they tend to increase in value and improve in the complexity and resonance of their sound as they age, regardless of their appearance; I can therefore sell them with confidence despite my lack of real expertise. This guitar, like all my guitars, is also available at a negotiable Buy It Now price with Free Shipping in my store at any time. I have sold guitars to Russia, Japan, Australia, and over 50 other countries, as well as almost every state in the USA. Since some of my guitars travel thousands of miles, I take care to use lots of packing materials, protect the neck inside the case, and of course de-tune the strings. I will consider reasonable offers, even including installment payments and trade-ins, but generally since I already attempt to price my guitars very competitively, unusual deals must be unusually sweet. If you have a particular model of any brand in which you are interested, please Google “alumpster’s guitars” to ask on-line or at 803-731-0515, and I will be happy to let you know if it will be available soon. The Martin DM was introduced in 1996 as the prototype for Martin’s Road Series, the company’s most affordable all-wood guitars. It was listed [back then!] at $1199 retail and available at discount stores for $900+/-. While it was discontinued, quality used ones like this one give you a chance to own a genuine Martin with a solid spruce top made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania at a reasonable price. [Company specs are listed below.]This particular guitar was produced in 2002, judging from the serial number (908852) and the Martin website. It is in excellent “player’s” condition, with the usual signs it has been played: some dings and dents, especially along the edges, and some pick scuffs on the pick guard. More seriously, there is a very professional mahogany patch of about 1” by 4” on the lower bass side, and evidence of a careful headstock repair. The action is right at 4/32”, but the high saddle and the functional truss rod offer an easy means for adjustment. It sounds great—like a Martin, in other words—and of course it has that great gold Martin logo on the top of the headstock! The hard shell case is obviously not an original Martin case, but it is in very good condition, it fits the guitar perfectly, and the latches and hinges are shiny and perfectly functional [one latch is missing a hasp]. The black plush interior is spotless, and obviously, it offers great protection and is an excellent complement to your Martin guitar. Buyer pays a flat rate of $55 for shipping to the lower 48 states; shipping costs elsewhere will be negotiated as necessary. Payment by Paypal is preferred; cashiers and personal checks are acceptable, but checks must clear before the guitar will be shipped.I have made every effort to describe and illustrate this guitar and case with scrupulous accuracy. Please check out the pictures and ask any questions you might have before offering to buy it. Its return will not be accepted unless it can be shown that it was egregiously misrepresented in this listing. Good luck!
