1970 Fender Precision Bass, Ocean Turquoise. This bass features a body refinish in Ocean Turquoise Custom Color by Fiesta Finishes™. The neck features original finish on the front and back of head stock, and on the heel, however, the playing area of the neck has been refinished also with Nitro Lacquer. This gives the instrument the look and feel of a Pre CBS Precision Bass.The pickups are older Custom Shop units from a 2011 "1964" model. The bass features new original spec CTS pots, and a new jack, so it's perfectly quiet, no scratchy or crackle. The guard is also new. Original parts include body and neck (refinished as noted), tuners, bridge, knobs, neck plate, and strap buttons. G tuner is very slightly bent but functions perfectly.The neck is a "B" width, which means the nut is 1.625", half way between a Pre CBS Precision and a Pre CBS Jazz. The neck measures .882" at 1st fret and 1.00" at 12th fret, which is a bit fatter than some earlier necks. This combined with the narrower nut makes it a joy to play.The bass is extremely light, weighing just 8 lb. 3 oz. Serial number is 298XXX. Neck date appears to be NOV 70B, but is difficult to read.
