This is a beautiful late 19th Century Amati copy full size violin by French makers Thibouville-Lamy.All the indications are that it was made in the highly respected factories in Mirecourt some time in the 1880's or 1890's We've just had it professionally overhauled by the craftsmen at Cambridge Violin Workshop. As well as being thoroughly cleaned and revitalised, it has been fitted with new pegs, top nut, chin rest, saddle, Aubert bridge and sound post. The fingerboard has also been re-profiled so it is in superb playing condition, and should stay that way for years to come.It is fitted with Dominant A, D & G strings with a Kaplan E string.This is being sold as violin only and would suit an advanced student or aspiring amateur player.
