Dear all, I have this mint Yamaha YTR-739T in silver for sale. This is no ordinary YTR-739T, which was manufactured between 1977-1982 under the influence of Ronald Schilke. This one is in mint almost NOS condition YTR-739T. I acquired this horn almost 6 months ago. It came with all the accessories and documentations, plus the great horn. I even have the key to the wonderful case, model Y-418-A. Yamaha 3 digits models of trumpet were manufactured in 70's and early 80's under the supervision and influence of Ronald Schilke. Yamaha wanted to create a great line of professional trumpets suited for professional players. They retained Mr. Schilke for this purpose. Yamaha delivered. This series of trumpets have all traits of Schilke trumpets. In design, they are very similar to Schilke's own trumpets, including light weight, minimum braces, reverse leadpipe and variable bore sizes, creating a trumpet that sound great and easy to blow. In playing quality, the response, tone color, even scales, easy to play at high ranges and rich at low range. Some say this series is a Shilke copy, but I would say this is a mass-production of Schilke trumpets, exactly what Mr. Schilke wanted, but the exact copy of Schilke trumpets. YTR-739T differs from all other 3 digits Yamaha YTRs in that this series has the only factory installed trigger on the slide from the first valve. Infamous Yamalloy was a long past than when this horn was built, so it is NOT the case. It is in key of Bb, silver plated, yellow brass all around the horn, gold brass bell, and red brass on lead-pipe, as you can see from the picture where the first tuning slide was pulled. Valves have silk-smooth actions, and all slides pull and are lubricated to as smooth action as they should be. Please note that I am selling this horn because I don't even want to break valves in to suit my playing habits. Yes, they are NOT broken in yet, and you will be the first to break them in so that this will be your personal horn. Silver plating is of course 100% intact – shining and bright silver plating. This is a beautiful horn. No dings, scratches, or any signs of usage at all. Sound-wise, first this horn responds quickly due to the reverse lead-pipe. It has a loud sound with a solid core in it, just like Schilke sound. The sound projects well. Definitely not Bach sound. Very even scales from low to high C. I am not capable to blow any notes higher than that, but they are there, definitely. Aren't there!! Very smooth valve actions ( I use modern Yamaha valve oil on them, which is also included). The third slides are smooth with a Schilke-like stop rod to prevent it from sliding out accidentally. With the first slide trigger added, making it a very easy to play and smooth action horn when precision tuning in needed. For comparison purposes, there is a great site that hosts yamaha wind instruments information. There is especially a spreadsheet and photo database that document Yamaha trumpets. YTR-739T is in it. You can google it take a look at the file and photos. Of course, mine is much better than any of those horns shown in the photo database. The specs. listed on Yamaha website are as follows: Specs:
Schilke equivalent: B3 (though I have no personal experience regarding the similiarity)

I play with Bach 1.5C mouthpiece and this horn responds to it beautifully. Sorry this mouthpiece will not come with this horn. As a matter of fact, this horn will not come with any mouthpiece at all. You should already have your own favorite pieces so why the waste of giving out my favorite mouthpiece where there is a chance you do not even need it at all. I really hate to let this horn go,but I already have a Schilke B5, another Yamaha
