"CRESPIGNY, Luthier d'Art, Année 1949", as pictured.Condition is excellent as the viola was cleaned all over, and was originally fully equipped to be immediately playable. Important: there is no sound post break or any old repair whatsoever on this viola, very sain. The sound post is inside and will be removed for safe shipping. The bridge is original. Of course there is some little dents and wear traces here and there, but obviously this viola is in great shape. The varnish is of a superbe light orange/amber color all over. The back is absolutely beautiful! The Italian arch is just outstanding.A VERY GOOD OLD VIOLA that would need to be identified!! In my opinion this viola was probably bought (from Italy?) and re-sold by a French luthier (named Crespigny), however it has all the aspect of an Italian instrument indeed... the wood and varnish, and the head design are typical... my opinion only! The weight is remarkably light too, 519 grams as presented, which makes it a very balanced instrument, and that can be an input in your research.Description:Today this viola is in a very good playing condition.Measurements:
