(En español más abajo, gracias)Hello!
This amazing and very rare JMI Vox AC-10 Twin 2 x 10 Fawn Tolex is handbuilt and handwired point to point to the exact specification circuitry as the original VOX JMI AC-10 combo, with NOS (New Old Stock) vintage parts. You will find the specs listed below.
This amp is tone, tone, tone at its best. Purists know that there was -and there is- a special magic inside vintage AC10's. This amp delivers the best vintage guitar tone I have ever heard. Pair it with a telecaster or a P90 guitar and a neunaber wet reverb pedal and you are in tone heaven. It likes humbuckers too and it takes pedals very well. On top of that, 2 original 1970 Goodmans speakers have been installed by a pro amp technician, in place of the Celestion Vintage G10 80th anniversary speakers. They were extracted from a barely used original AC-10. They are warmer than the celestions, with a really nice slightly darker vintage vibe. You can check they are the real thing here (please copy the link in your browser): Usually a vintage ac10 go for anything between 2400€-3000€ and easily needs tech work. I have played through vintage vox ac10s before and was about to buy one when I tried this one. This is the cheapest and cleanest way to have the original vox Ac10 tone and it definitely is in another league than any current Vox reissue. I don't know if this exact replicas are still being made, but with the speaker upgrade this amp has a value above 2000€ and I am selling it at a really good price, with reliable (Fedex, TNT... depending on the destination) FREE SHIPPING INSIDE EUROPE. I would be willing to send it worlwide, please send me a message and we'll find the way! The amp will be carefully packed for the shipping, and I will provide a tracking number. Additional custom charges would be buyer's responsability. Due to the nature of the item, returns are not accepted but I take full responsability on the perfect condition of the amp.
Despite it's a 10 watt amp, it doesn't mean it can't go really loud. That is the reason I have to sell it. Since I bought it I have barely been able to play it... It's sad this beauty has to go, but it bothers my neighbours and unfortunately for my tastes I would have to go digital for home playing. I have never gigged with this amp (I am mostly an acoustic player), and it's in perfect shape. It only has a small mark on the rear specs plate; nothing important. To have a good idea of its sound, please check this video Review by iGuitar Magazine (text copied below) : Other great links to the sounds these amps can deliver used with pedals:
Please feel free to ask for any additional information, I would be pleased to help you. Thanks and happy bidding!
