While I'm not the original owner of this fantastic sounding U87 Ai, I can tell you that it has been well cared for for the past few years, used to create many pristine solo piano recordings. Sounds great, versatile, transparent, warm, just like a U87 is supposed to!Keep in mind this mic does show cosmetic signs of heavy studio use from it's previous owner. There are some scratches in the finish, and a dent in the grille. The photos tell the story. Also, the shock mount shows rust, and one of the welds has separated (also shown in the photos). It would be an easy fix with a soldering iron, but since it holds with no problem by tightening the clip over it, I've never bothered to solder it. That said, this mic performs where it counts!
