For sale is: One Vintage 1975 Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Guitar Effects Pedal.This is the second version of the Big Muff pedal known as the V2 Ram's Head version.This particular pedal has a kind of raspy fuzz that sounds almost gated as the note fades out. This unit does not have any of that horrible white noise that a lot of vintage Electro-Harmonix pedals have.A previous owner replaced three of the cover screws with slightly larger screws. They also made two small holes in the back of the case to mount it to a pedal board at some point. It is also missing two rubber feat on the bottom.There have been no repairs or modifications to the pedal or circuit.
This pedal is sold AS IS due to age, but here is a video showing that it is in full working order.Video of actual item for sale:

Compared to the average “triangle” the “ram’s head” has an overall more aggressive tone with more gain and brighter top and that classic mids scoop. The pedal stands well on its own but a transparent booster/overdrive adds to its already monstrous tone. The “ram’s head” is ideal for Animals and Wall but a hint of mid range boost makes it incredibly versatile for any era. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This item shows heavy signs of wear, and is in well used condition. ALL features were tested prior to listing the unit for sale, and everything is fully functional. What you see is what you get.
