Reluctantly, I have decided to sell my Harpejji.I am the second owner, and I bought it from a nice guy in England back in 2012. His presentation video of the actual instrument is still listed via this . So that link shows the actual Harpejji listed in the present auction. Please disregard that the video says "SOLD" - that only means it was sold to me, obviously. Both he and I used it only lightly at home, so its condition is absolutely immaculate - as if you just received it from the manufacturer.Since I bought it, I got myself a daughter, a lot of bills and very limited time to actually use it as I planned to. Although it hurts, I therefore think it is time to let it go to a new home.As usual, it is recommended to study details online about this wonderful instrument. There is also some material online about it being used by Stevie Wonder, Jordan Rudess etc.
You can also quickly check out how cool a Harpejji K24 is by watching  how it is used collectively by the band Walk Off The Earth in their cover version of "Can't Feel My Face"The harpejji is a member of a small family of stringed musical instruments known as tapping instruments. Tapping instruments are descendents of the electric guitar but are optimized for a style of playing that involves tapping on the strings to produce a note. One of the primary benefits of this style of playing is that it only requires one finger to make each note, unlike strumming which requires at least one finger on each hand to make a note.By freeing up more fingers, the player has the freedom to play arrangements that are physically too difficult to play with the more traditional playing techniques. Unlike all other commercially available tapping instruments, the harpejji has a keyboard-inspired playing interface that many will find easier to learn, more comfortable to play and more interesting to explore. The harpejji is played on a stand, horizontally or on a slight incline or decline. A decline position allows the audience to see more of your playing, whereas an incline position makes it easiest to reach the top frets. The current base price of a Harpejji K24 is $5999 at . The costs of the additional options selected for this Harpejji are:Base color coat: Black satin finish $599Deluxe trim material: Red tortoiseshell $249
Delivery to Europe from Marcodi/US is approx. $459The tax and duty of importing it to Europe would be around $1800.For a European buyer (or anyone else outside USA) considering to buy a similar Harpejji from Marcodi, the total cost including options, case, shipping, tax, duty (and approx. 240 days factory lead time) would therefore be about $9700. In that case, the starting price of this auction would be a steal! The only reason why I do not set the starting price higher is the fact that my kind of Ebay account does not allow more than $5000 worth of listings per month.
Even for a US buyer, I believe this would be an attractive price. Please observe that this item ships worldwide from Denmark / Europe (EU).I have 100% positive Ebay feedback and I aim to keep it like that. I have been a member since 1999.By the way, I will of course include the right audio cabling and power supply (100V - 240V, i.e. world wide compatibility)The shipping cost is world wide flat rate with full insurance. It may be slightly cheaper depending on destination / insurance value. In that case I will refund the difference
