MADE IN USA original production 1991-1992 Fender SRV Strat. Included are all original paperwork, tags, and original case with keys. The guitar is in near perfect condition and is one of the original Stevie Ray Vaughan strats produced. All the paperwork shows when this instrument was produced and sold. Also, the original paperwork indicates that this guitar was ordered with a rosewood fingerboard but I have no other way of determining if that is fact. The guitar feels great and is still set up from the factory. The original strings and clear plastic film on the back tremolo cover and case latches are still there. No paint chips or damage of any kind on the guitar. This is a very rare find. The case has 2 small dings, 1 located at each end and very minor discoloration (as seen in photos).
Thanks for looking and feel free to shoot me any questions.
Sound Like Stevie: 3 Texas Special Single-Coil Pickups
Blues guitarists can instantly recognize Stevie Ray Vaughan's signature guitar sound from hearing just a few notes. Fender has loaded this Strat with three Texas Special single-coil pickups to put that rich sound in your hands. The single-coil twang is intact, but play this guitar through a hot tube amp and you'll reach blues-rock heaven. The neck pickup delivers fat, rounded tone while the bridge pickup snarls and has plenty of bite. Placing the pickup selector between the middle and neck pickups will give you that lush, slightly out-of-phase sound that's perfect for clean rhythms.
Hardware to Honor SRV: Down to the Left-Handed Tremolo
Being a signature model, the Stevie Ray Vaughan Strat pays tribute to the legendary guitarist right down to the details. Gold-plated vintage hardware on the tuners, bridge, input jack, and strap buttons recall the look of the guitars Stevie Ray played onstage. The tremolo even has a left-handed orientation, just like on the original. To cap it off, the "SRV" initials are inscribed into the black pick guard.
Features:
- Adler body
- Maple neck in thick oval profile
- 21 Dunlop 6105 jumbo frets
- Three Texas Special single-coil pickups
- Five-position pickup selector switch
- Master volume, neck tone, and middle tone knobs
- 3-ply black pickguard
- Gold-plated vintage hardware
- Left-handed tremolo bar slot
- "SRV" inscribed on pick guard
- Hardshell case included
Shortly before his tragic death in 1990, Stevie Ray Vaughan collaborated with Fender guitars to produce an Artist Series Stratocaster. Few guitarists have had as much impact on popular music as Stevie, except maybe Clapton, Beck, and Hendrix. He seemingly brought blues into the mainstream singlehandedly, just when people began to forget the genre even existed, and this signature Strat is a fitting monument to the man's brilliance. It features an deep, early '60s oval neck shape, a pau ferro fingerboard with 21 jumbo frets, three Texas Special single-coil pickups, a reversed (left-handed) tremolo, and a black 3-ply pickguard engraved with SRV! This is an instrument that's truly as unique as the man who helped design it, and now it can be yours!
