25 July to 13 August and will not be able to post pictures during that period.In baroque setup.LabelledVerfertigetvonJoseph Rief18 Vils 33This is probably a repair label, as the violin is more likely to be of the Fussen School and dating to the mid-18th c. The instrument bears its original neck (re-angled at the heel) and bass bar. The one-piece back of faint curl, matching ribs and scroll; table of very narrow spruce. Medium-high arch.This is an instrument of relatively large proportions (length of back 360mm, sounding string length 330mm).I played this violin throughout music college and toured with it extensively through all climates; it never let me down. Condition: The instrument is overall in an excellent condition, with no significant repairs.
