This is a NEW Warmoth body and a NEW Matney USA Custom B Bender (both the body and bender were Made in USA). Just search for Matney USA on YouTube and you can see a review of Matney Benders. The body is a Warmoth two piece alder and is finished in aniline dye with a hand rubbed, thin skin, Nitrocellulose lacquer clear coat. Then the finish was distressed by hand to achieve the desired relic look. This is one of the nicest relic jobs I've seen. It looks very natural and authentic. The neck pocket is the standard Fender 2 3/16" measurement. Includes a three ply black pickgaurd, a control plate, Jack cup and Jack, string ferrules, and a Fender three saddle vintage style bridge with brass compensated saddles for better intonation. THIS BODY DOES NOT COME WITH ANY PICKUPS OR ELECTRONICS. I bought the body new for the purpose of installing the bender unit. The finish work and bender installation was done in the Matney's Music custom shop in Rockwell, NC. Please look at all the pics and consider them part of the description. If you've been wanting to build a custom Tele, or maybe want to try your hand at a custom relic project, then look no further. This guitar is for you! For anyone who may not know what a B or G bender does... It's activated by pulling up on the upper strap button. It's referred to as a bender, but in reality, it actually "pulls" the B or G string (depending on which installation you choose). It raises the pitch to an adjustable, preset stopping point, so you can quickly and accurately pull or "bend" a note up by 1/2 step or a whole step. It makes it very easy to get pedal steel type effects from your guitar. You can also strum a chord while bending a note! It's actually pretty cool and very useful. I've been building benders for over 25 years and my design is very user friendly. It's very easy to use and a lot of fun! It's simple and easy to adjust the stopping point... There is an access point by the pull arm for an Allen wrench... Simply turn clockwise to lower the pitch of the activated bend, and counterclockwise to raise the pitch of the activated bend. The spring tension is also adjustable. You will love this bender! This is the same bender unit I use in all of my custom builds. It works smoothly, quietly, and always returns to pitch.
