This guitar was built in 2000 and features some ridiculously beautiful flamed maple back and sides! That figuring is something special. The guitar also features an ebony fretboard, which is extremely rare on a Gibson guitar. As you know, Gibson ceased using ebony at the end of 2012. As a result, all of the recent models have utilized rosewood (and a select few with richlite) fretboards. I'm a fan of ebony, so I've sought out the older models with ebony boards. The guitar also features a Sitka spruce top. One of the cooler features on this guitar is the black "stinger" on the back of the headstock. These are quite rare and Gibsons with this feature are highly sought after. The inlays on the fretboard, headstock, and soundhole are high-quality abalone shell. The abalone looks particularly striking against the jet-black ebony fretboard. I love the look of abalone against ebony.
The guitar is in excellent condition. It shows very little playwear. There are a few light marks on the body and the headstock. No dings, dents, or scratches. Some mild finish checking.
Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and all original paperwork.
