Rare opportunity. A very early (1997), made in the USA, G&L L-2500 5 string bass. These early models have (4+1 tuner configuration) and a slightly wider neck at the nut for better string spacing, great feel, great sounds. 9 volt (original) preamp working as it should with preamp on-off switch, coil tap switch, pickup selector, volume/treble/bass controls. Awesome condition, pristine. Serial # B001386. Ink dates are smudged (neck stamped ??? 04 1997, body stamped MAR 30 ????). According to "Blue Book of Electric Guitars-Sixth Edition": production of L-2500 basses began in 1994 with the headstock redesigned in 1998 to its current 3/2 tuner configuration and slightly narrower neck.Case is original G&L, latches a little stubborn, minor marks, works fine should last another 19 years.
