1962 Conn 88H Trombone - Elkhart Model!
Estimated price for orientation: 1 800 $
Category: Trombones
Class:
Description Brand: Conn Items Included: Case Trombone Type: Tenor Skill Level: Professional Model: 88H Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Bell Material: Rose brass
Here's a classic -- a 1962 Elkhart Conn 88H trombone in very good condition! The early Conn 88Hs tend to be the most flexible, desired horns of the era and this one is no exception! It has the classic Conn orchestral sound and is in very nice shape to top it all off!
There are some small, BB-sized pings in the bell throat, some scratches on the tuning slide, and lacquer wear on the hand grip. I would say the original lacquer is 98% complete.
Slide action is excellent, a true 9.9/10, despite the one small spot of plating wear on the slide stocking. I have played on several brand new Shires and Edwards horns and this slide is as good as those boutique horns I have played. You can see my past sales, I have sold many horns in the last two years and I can say this is the best Conn slide I've ever used.
Includes original Conn hardshell case in usable condition, no musty smell but the cover is scratched and has some small tears.
